Lee Ann and Larry,
Thanks so much for putting up with my hundreds of emails and meeting me there on a Saturday. I was able to drop off 30 bags for my friend and headed home to cook the best prime rib we've ever eaten before. Wicked Good lump is all that it's cracked up to be. Lighting it was not that bad, but the long hot smokeless fire that it produced really made a difference in the food. I might be back sooner than I thought for more, I'm gonna be cooking outdoors a lot more. |

Hey Guys, Took the smoker down to the NC shore and cooked up some bbq and took
one of the bags of wicked good charcoal and used it. Man, that stuff is
dense and burns forever. I'd say 1/3 of the bag was nice big chunks...
people seem to prefer the smaller lump for grilling but the bigger the
better for me when I'm using it in the smoker. |

The charcoal did burn hotter and lasted longer than my
experience predicted. two, 2 inch thick steaks, were
grilled to perfection. when done and i shut the air off
and discovered next morning that i had enough charcoal left
over to grill a couple of burgers and dogs.
The norm is that i have nothing but ash and some unburnt
embers, which i discard. Glad i tried it out stuff is great!!
